Graeme was appointed Secretary for Music and Creative Arts for the Australian Eastern Territory in March 1997. He was also appointed Songsters Leader for the Sydney Staff Songsters.

With a music education background, Graeme was the Director of Music at a senior high school for 14 years. His work with concert bands and choirs at his school and within the community saw him in constant demand as a clinician and guest conductor for music schools, camps and special music weekends, both for The Salvation Army and professionally.

Graeme was appointed Divisional Music Director for the Georgia Division, USA Southern Territory, in 1995 where he served with his wife Neryl for two years. He has had many vocal and brass compositions published.
